You are handing over something that matters.

Your website and your listings are how people find and judge your business. This page is the detail behind what we will and will not do with them, for anyone who wants to check rather than take our word for it.

Permission

How much rope we get is your setting.

It is one choice, you make it, and you can change it any afternoon you like.

01

Watch only

We look and we report. Nothing is ever changed.

02

Ask first

We prepare the change and it waits for your yes. This is where most people start.

03

Safe changes

Reversible, non-financial, low-risk things go ahead on their own. Anything else still waits.

04

Go ahead

Broad authority inside the guardrails, for people who would rather it just got done.

Anything that spends money needs a person at every single one of those settings. That is not a policy we are describing to you, it is a branch in the code that an account setting cannot buy its way past.

A change we can't take back is a change we won't make.

Before anything is edited we read what is there now and keep it. That saved copy is what the undo restores.

The detail that makes this real rather than a promise: the previous value is read at the moment of the change, not assumed from what we intended to replace. If somebody edited that page in between, restoring what we expected to find would put back the wrong thing.

Where a platform will not let us read a value back, the change is offered as instructions for you to apply rather than reported as done. An action that cannot be confirmed is not recorded as having happened.

Evidence

Every number resolves to a record.

Each piece of evidence is filed as measured, correlated or inferred at the moment it is recorded, and that class decides what language is allowed around it.

Measured

Seen directly, from a source that reports it.

Three new Google reviews. Rating steady at 4.7.

Can move your score. Can be stated plainly.

Correlated

Two things happened in the same week.

A competitor published a location page the same week they overtook you.

Can be reported, must be hedged, never moves the score.

Inferred

A conclusion drawn from evidence rather than read off it.

That new page looks like a possible contributor.

Offered as a possibility. Never as a cause, and never scored.

That only measured evidence may move your score is not a guideline somebody could quietly change. It is a constraint on the database table, so a row carrying any other class is refused at the moment it is written.

  • Two tracked searches moved up. "ac repair marigold" went from 6 to 4.measured2 records
  • Three new Google reviews. Rating steady at 4.7.measured3 records
  • Home page load time rose from 1.9s to 3.4s.measured1 record
  • Named in 5 of 15 assistant runs, up from 4.measured15 records
  • A competitor published a location page the same week they overtook you.correlated4 records

From the demonstration account. The four measured changes add up to the score movement exactly. If they did not, the difference would be shown rather than quietly absorbed.

Three things it will not tell you.

Each one is a place where the honest answer is nothing, and where most of the industry shows you a number anyway.

What share of my customers came from ads?

It will tell you what share of your clicks did. Those are different measurements and they routinely differ by a lot.

What would close it: Call tracking or a CRM, so a booking can be traced back to where it came from.

How do I compare to businesses like mine?

Nothing is shown. A percentile drawn from a handful of accounts looks authoritative and tells you nothing.

What would close it: Fifty comparable businesses measured in the same market band.

Is my presence trending up?

Not until three months of history exist, and never for a movement smaller than the band the thing is measured to.

What would close it: Time. This one closes on its own.

None of this is a feature anybody asked for. It is here because the alternative is a report you cannot check, which is what the industry already sells and what most owners have quietly stopped believing.
